YXZ1000R

YXZ1000R

The radically styled Yamaha YXZ1000R is a new kind of Recreational Off Road Vehicle (ROV) that has been conceived, engineered and manufactured as a 100% pure sports recreational model.

Powered by a new generation torque-rich 3-cylinder engine driving though a rally-style 5-speed sports stick shift sequential transmission, the YXZ is like no other model ever seen in the off-road world.

Equipped with the most advanced ultra-long travel suspension ever seen on a production off-roader, the YXZ1000R introduces a whole range of industry leading technology to the ROV world for the first time.

ROV Safety Guide
  • Always fasten your seat belt, wear a helmet and other protective gear and keep all parts of your body inside the ROV
  • Undertake an accredited ROV training course
  • Never drive an ROV unless you’re 16 or older and have a valid driver’s licence. ROVs are not toys
  • Drive only in designated areas, at a safe speed, and use care when turning and crossing slopes
  • Read and follow the operator’s manual and warning labels and watch the safety video provided with the vehicle
  • Do not overload your ROV and never exceed manufacturer’s guidelines for loading and towing
  • Avoid paved surfaces. ROVs are designed to be operated off-highway
  • Never carry more passengers than the ROV is designed for, and never allow a passenger who is too small to sit in a passenger seat to ride in the ROV
  • Never drive or ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs

About Us

Dave purchased Lithgow Bike Stop in June 1992 and two years later Jamie joined the business and completed his motorcycle mechanical apprenticeship. In 1998 Dave and Jamie formed the partnership that exists to this day.

The brothers have always shared a love of motorcycling and have competed at various levels. Lithgow Bike Stop has also supported numerous local riders, assisting with the building and servicing of many winning teams. The respect for both brothers is widely known within the industry and both have assisted Yamaha Australia and Kawasaki Motors with technical advice.
